Why should I integrate the MEWs booking widget, and not use the external MEWs standalone URL MEWs provides?

This is your first step. If you want to avoid customers dropping off when clicking on "Book Now" and loosing them to a competitor & OTAs, or customers calling you directly to book - then, you need a booking check-out (MEWs booking widget) to open on your website, without opening a new URL, and on the right check-out page - for visitors to convert.
